Located on the Grande Ronde River, near Troy, Oregon, this low key, high value operation is where some of the Northwest’s finest steelheaders and spey casters congregate for a final month of guiding and instruction. The guides are none other than Ed Ward, Scott O’Donnell and Mike McCune. Simply put, they love the Ronde and the steelhead it sustains.
Limited to six anglers per week, this is not only an operation that prides itself on fishing hard, but also a place where anglers can learn a great deal about steelhead fly fishing and the art of spey casting. Often described as a miniature Deschutes or a tiny replica of the Thompson, the Ronde has cast its spell on many of the sport’s most distinguished steelheaders and spey casters. We invite you to join their ranks.
Multi-day guided floats with the same guide crew are also available on the lower river in September and October. If you want to maximize your time on the water or see more of the river, we highly suggest this outstanding camp trip.
Limited to six anglers per week, this is the place to learn the art of spey casting. The only thing not included is airfare, gratuities, and alcohol.
