Bauer Rogue 7 Fly Reel

Bauer reels are precision machined 100% aerospace bar stock aluminum and stainless steel construction for maximum strength and corrosion protection. Sealed precision stainless steel ball bearings are used, with no plastic parts or bushings. The large arbor spools have an exposed palming rim for additional control and a quick release mechanism. The patented Bauer "zero-backlash" drag clutch makes a seamless engagement of the large diameter Cork/FXB polymer disc drag which delivers ultra smooth low startup inertia. This system yields a silent retrieve with a crisp outgoing click. 

The Cork/FXB polymer disc drag sets Bauer ahead of the competition. The friction properties of Cork are mated with the anti-friction properties of FXB polymer to develop a drag system that takes advantage of the best qualities of both materials.

Bauer reels are designed and manufactured in the U.S.A. Every reel is crafted and given its final inspection by our staff in Ashland, Oregon. The reels have a lifetime warranty and are serviced by the same people who build them. 

Bauer Rogue Reel

The Rogue features the new technology of Bauer's Carbon Fiber Composite disc drag and V-Abor design. The patented, seamless engagement carbon fiber drag system is sealed during use, yet serviceable when required. The drag system delivers silky smooth, big-fish landing performance, under all conditions. The Rogue uses four sealed precision stainless steel ball bearings, with no plastic parts or bushings.

The distinctive V-Arbor design maintains a larger effective diameter for the portion of the fly line and backing that is actually used when fishing. The balance of the backing is stored in the V bottom of the arbor, always available when needed.

The Rogue has a Stealth Black polished finish with optional spool colors. It is also available in striking all Splash frame and spool options. The Carbon Fiber drag, V-Arbor, and lightweight design make it the reel choice for any angler, for any destination.
