If you've been to our site before, thanks for coming back. If you're new to our corner of the Internet, let me tell you a little about ourselves. California Fly Shop is based in San Carlos California. Our staff are all avid fly fishers and love to talk about fishing almost as much as we love fishing itself. When we're not in the store, we're usually on the water, or wishing we were. 

California Fly Shop has been in business for 20 years. We know that buying fly fishing gear online can be frustrating; we all want to touch the flies, cast the rods, ask questions and tell our fishing stories. We get that - it's why so many folks come into our store. Still, sometimes you're in a hurry and can't visit a shop, or maybe you live in a place that doesn't have a neighborhood fly shop. This site is for you.

This site is a work in progress, we're still putting the products on the virtual shelves and figuring out the best way to make shopping for fly fishing gear easy for you. Please don't hesitate to contact us (800-470-0002), to tell us what you like, don't like and what you're looking for (especially if you don't see it here, I'm sure we have it in the back somewhere) As Burger King used to say "special orders don't upset us."
