We'll Sell Your Old Gear on eBay

Here at California Fly Shop, we understand that times are tough. Many people don't have the budget for fly fishing gear that they had a few years ago – but that doesn’t mean you can't get the newest products.

Let us sell your old gear on eBay for you - we’ll take care of everything. After your gear is sold, we’ll give you a store credit or gift card for the net amount of your gear's winning bid. We'll even ship the new gear you purchase with your credit or gift card for FREE.

California Fly Shop's eBay Store Manager, Christina, will maximize the value of your gear and provide seamless customer service - just check out our eBay customer feedback!


Here's how it works:

  1. Ship us your gear with a signed copy of the Trade In Gear Up Item Listing Form.
  1. We will clean, research, take photos, write a product description, and list your gear on eBay in a no reserve, 7-day auction. You will specify the opening bid, which is the minimum amount that you are willing to accept for the used gear.
  1. You will receive a phone call from Christina at the conclusion of the auction, and we will give you a store credit or gift card for the net sale amount for your gear.
  1. Use your store credit or gift card at the shop or in our online store! This credit is valid on ALL product merchandise – including sale and clearance items.

 

The not-so-fine print: The following gear is eligible for the Trade In Gear Up program: fly rods, fly reels, vices, books, vests and packs, and near-new clothing items like waders (no leaks!), boots and jackets. Store credit is usually given roughly three weeks from the time we receive your gear. Your store credit equals the net proceeds from the sale of your gear (the winning bid less 13% for eBay and PayPal fees).
